Biology: | Recorded from large rivers, in slow to moderate current at 5 to 20 m elevation. It was taken over sandy bottoms at 26°C. It seems to be principally an herbivorous fish, feeding on diatoms, seeds and other plant material (Ref. 36880). | |||
