Environment:  benthopelagic; freshwater
Distribution:  South America: Colombian rivers and the Catatumbo River basin.
Diagnosis:   
Biology:  Inhabits swamps or marshes and rivers (Ref. 26543). Omnivore, feeds on plants, phytoplankton and invertebrates mixed with slime (Ref. 26543).
