| Diagnosis: | Dorsal spines (total): 0-0; Dorsal soft rays (total): 11-11; Anal spines: 0-0; Anal soft rays: 8-8. Diagnosis: Mouth subinferior; no barbels; lateral line complete; 21-23 scales in lateral line; 8-10 circumpeduncular scales; 3 oval or round spots on the sides (Ref. 81639). Description: Small-sized species (Ref. 81639). Dorsal fin with 3 unbranched and 8 branched rays; anal fin with 3 unbranched and 5 branched rays; pectoral fin with 14-17 rays; pelvic fin with 9 rays; dorsal fin border straight, last simple ray flexible, as long as head (Ref. 81639). Scales with radial striae; 3.5 scales between lateral line and dorsal fin origin; 3.5-4.5 scales between lateral line and mid-belly; 2.5 scales between lateral line and pelvic fin insertion (Ref. 81639). Colouration: ground colour pale brown dorsally, silvery ventrally; 3 large round spots on flanks; 2 small black spots at base of dorsal fin (Ref. 81639). | |||
