Description: Characterized by white to slightly yellowish color with dark grey snout, forehead and upper back (common variety), black stripe from snout tip to end of dorsal fin base; (Komodo Island variety) overall yellowish to brown color with similar markings; anterior lateral line scales 28-35; predorsal scales 21-27; depth of body 29.6-35.2 % of SL (Ref. 90102). | |||
| Biology: | Occurs on silty coastal habitat with remote coral heads to soft bottom at shallow depths to about 25 m (Ref. 48635). Also found on coral or rocky patches. Solitary (Ref 90102). | |||
