Short description Claves de identificación | Morfología | Morfometría

This species differs from all its congeners except four Indo-Pacific species (E. fernholmi, E. indrambaryai, E. okinoseanus and E. wisneri) by having 8 pairs of gill pouches and three-cusp multicusps on the anterior and two-cusp multicusp on the posterior rows of cusps. It differs from E. fernholmi in number of trunk pores (57-58 vs. 50), tail pores (14-15 vs. 9) and total pores (91-93 vs. 81); from E. indrambaryai in number of total cusps (50 vs. 45-48), trunk pores (57-58 vs. 45-50), tail pores (14-15 vs. 10-13) and total pores (91-93 vs. 77-82); from E. okinoseanus in number of total cusps (50 vs. 40-49), prebranchial pores (12-13 vs. 13-17) and tail pores (14-15 vs. 10-14); from E. wisneri by its number of anterior unicusps (10-11 vs. 9), total cusps (50 vs. 44), prebranchial pores (12-13 vs. 9-10), trunk pores (57-58 vs. 43-45) and total pores (91-93 vs. 73-75) (Ref. 85052).
